Electrical Business Review: Selection Methodology

Program Objective

The “Top Electrical Solutions & Service Providers” and related recognitions by Electrical Business Review aim to identify organizations across the electrical ecosystem that demonstrate leadership in operational reliability, service excellence, and market relevance. The program covers solution and service providers addressing critical priorities such as power delivery, safety, maintenance, infrastructure performance, and execution across utilities, contractors, and electrical engineering firms, alongside providers of electrical equipment, control systems, and automation solutions. It also recognizes organizations advancing renewable energy integration, grid modernization, and energy management technologies. By highlighting firms driving efficiency, resilience, and innovation, we showcase the partners essential to the modern electrical landscape.

The Selection Framework

Our research team, in collaboration with the Electrical Business Review Editorial Board, an external panel of industry peers, analysts and subscriber-driven nominations, employs an Electrical Industry Value Assessment Model to identify and recognize companies delivering exceptional value to the electrical industry. Subscriber input plays an important role in the process, highlighting companies that professionals across the industry would recommend to their peers, choose for their own organizations or regard as best-in-class within their domain.

Nominees are scored on a scale of 1–100 across the following four criteria:

Operational Impact on Electrical Environments (30%)
Assessment focuses on measurable improvements in uptime, field performance, maintenance effectiveness, delivery reliability or execution quality across electrical operations and service environments.

Utility and Industry Alignment (25%)
The editorial board examines how well a provider aligns with the needs of utilities, contractors and electrical businesses operating across infrastructure, service and power-related environments.

Safety, Reliability and Service Readiness (25%)
Scoring considers a company’s ability to support safe operations, dependable performance and disciplined service delivery in demanding electrical settings.

Market Trust and Professional Endorsement (20%)
Strong candidates demonstrate client confidence through subscriber nominations, referrals, repeat engagements and a reputation for dependable partnership across the electrical ecosystem.
